2018 Giovanni Cristofori Photographic Competition,

A close run thing with Trevor Robertson emerging as the winner.

Members contributed many photographs and finally a shortlist of 30 was offered to members to vote for their favourites. The runners up, all in very, very close contention were: William Garnett with a glorious tern above, Hugh Stewart gave us not one but two rainbows, and then just one point from the winner both Angela Lilienthal, with one of her stunning landscapes, and from Mike Jacques a snowy story.

And the winner: not just an exceptional sailor, navigator, explorer, but also photographer; we were given a landscape, water, ice, a reflection, a boat.... the winner of the 2018 Giovanni Cristofori Photographic Competition, as announced at the January Awards Dinner, is Trevor Robertson.

All 30 shortlisted photographs are available to view in the Gallery - click on the link below.
